Steven Baker is an experienced criminal defense trial and appellate lawyer with a proven track record of successfully defending clients in complex state and federal cases. With more than 15 years of courtroom and appellate experience, he is known for strategic advocacy, meticulous legal analysis, and an unwavering commitment to protecting clients’ rights at every stage of the legal process.
Steven brings his state and federal trial experience from his work as an associate at the Cogdell Law Firm and his years as a criminal defense lawyer. He also brings federal appellate experience from his time as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Robert A. Junell of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Midland-Odessa Division. In addition, he worked as a criminal and civil appellate attorney at the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Baker graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and received his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. While at TCU he was editor of the campus newspaper.
While at Texas Tech University School of Law Steven was selected to be on on Law Review. He was on Law Review Executive Board and received the prestigious Law Review Tradition of Excellence Award for Outstanding Editor.
